William Donald Harvell

June 25, 1953 ~ March 1, 2021

William Donald Harvell, lovingly known as Donald, was born on June 25, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, to the proud parents of Woodson and Esther Harvell. Donald was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church at the ripe age of eight.

Donald attended Marquette Elementary and Hadley Tech Vocational Highschool where he majored in auto mechanics and played on the basketball team. After high school, Donald went on to work different jobs including the U.S. Postal Service, Laclede Town Landscaping, Veterans Hospital, and the Chase Park Hotel.

Donald loved to read, enjoyed horseback riding, old western movies, and singing along to his favorite temptation songs. He was especially loved by family and friends.

Donald took his final breath on March 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodson Bell and Esther Lee Harvell. His siblings, Eula Alexander, Sam (Mary) Harvell, Johnny Harvell, Katie (Jesse) Easley, Lee, Jesse (Gerline), Melvin, Woodson Jr., Minerva (Larry), and Geneva Harvell.

He leaves to mourn his sister, Joyce Harvell Barney, brother, Stanley Harvell. His daughters, Paulette (Clint) Baker and Paula Thomas, his grandchildren, Jayson Thompson, Clinton Baker Jr., Antawana ‘Lady’ Thomas, Andrea Thomas, and Ayanna Branyon. A host of nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
