William “Mr. Moke” Cavitt

passed away peacefully in his home on November 6, 2025. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, generosity, and the profound impact he had on those around him.

Mr. Moke was a dedicated entrepreneur who owned and operated over 19 bars and restaurants across St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, and Montgomery counties, leaving a lasting legacy in each community.

He also built cars and motorcycles for MGM Studios to be used in several movies and television shows, and he loved creating custom cars and motorcycles for his own pleasure and the enjoyment of others.

Please join us to celebrate his life on November 30th from 2 o’clock to 7 o’clock at the O’Fallon, Missouri Elks Lodge on Tom Ginnever Avenue.

    I knew Moke for 63 years. He was a great influence to me. most of my personality and humor has been based on whatever he did. I spoke with him last December and said that I sure wanted to meet up with him. He told me, he was opening another bar on the Rock Road and was too busy to do any socializing right now but he would get ahold of me once things settled down.
    Unfortunately his passing kept that from happening. God knows I miss him greatly.
