William Weber Stock

William Weber Stock passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024 at the age of 80. He was born in Belleville, Illinois on January 24, 1944.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Ruth (Weber) Stock and Delmar Stock. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years Sheila Stock.

Bill grew up on the family farm in Mascoutah, IL. He graduated from Mascoutah high school and at 20 years old he married Sheila Voudrie. She would be his wife for the next 60 years. They went on to have two daughters and six grandchildren.

His face always lit up when they walked in the door, or when he talked about them. He was always a man who could be counted on to help whenever he was needed. He could often see a solution to a problem where others couldn’t. Bill could seemingly fix anything, mechanical or structural. These skills became an integral part of his life as he went on to work in the auto body industry and eventually owning his own business.

He and Sheila worked tirelessly, for many years, gutting and restoring a 100 + years old home to its original splendor. This home became the place where everyone gathers for family celebrations as well as weekends filled with laughter and fun at their pool. He loved his family.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Lori (John) Maschoff of Belleville, IL and Sybill (Radesh) Naidoo of St. Louis, MO; and his 6 grandchildren Dr. Clayton Maschoff, Emma Maschoff, Camille Naidoo, Rajan Naidoo, Anjay Naidoo and Rani Naidoo.

He loved his home and loved being outdoors. In the last few years, he could often be found sitting on his front porch just enjoying the view. Those who met him knew him for his quiet confidence and kind manner. We are better people because we were blessed to call him ours.
