Wilma Knowles

Wilma Arlou (nee Bange) Knowles, 85, passed away July 22, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Town & Country, MO. She was born January 26, 1928 with her twin sister Wilda on their farm in Foster Pond, outside of Waterloo, IL to Edmund and Louisa (nee Dillenberger) Bange. She grew up on the farm and later attended Sanford Brown Business School in St. Louis, where she met her husband, Harold Knowles. They were married on September 18, 1948 and had two daughters, Joan and Linda.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Harold, her daughters, Joan Baur (Gary) of St. Charles, MO and Linda Halstead (Craig) of Arnold, NE, her grandchildren, Jay Baur (Janelle) of Creve Coeur, MO, April Klimkiewicz (Jason) of St. Charles, MO, Mark Baur (Kathryn) of St. Peters, MO, Anthony Halstead (Samantha) of Pleasanton, NE and Casey Halstead (Taylor) of Lincoln, NE, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edlin Gerber, and her twin sister, Wilda Siders.
A Memorial Service will be held for her on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2:30pm at the United Methodist Church of Green Trails, 14237 Ladue Rd., Chesterfield MO 63017. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church or to the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.

    I am very sorry for your loss. I know you have many good memories of her as I do. She made the best roast beef I ever had the pleasure of eating. She was a very kind and caring person. Again I’m sorry and saddened.
