Yukiko Lansford

October 10, 1940 – September 23, 2026

Yukiko “Yuki” Lansford, of Ballwin, Missouri, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on September 23, 2026, at the age of 85. Born in Niigata, Japan, she came to the United States at 23, bravely beginning a new life in an unfamiliar country and building a loving family

Yukiko was the beloved wife of Archie Lansford and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her family above all as they were the greatest source of joy and love in her life.

Yukiko lived a life defined by incredible strength and determination. She battled Type 1 diabetes for 50+ years, facing the challenges it brought with courage and an unwavering refusal to let the disease define or defeat her. She also faced cancer with that same extraordinary strength. Through every battle, she remained determined to keep going, never allowing adversity to take away her love for life or her family.  In the end, she won her battle with diabetes, and she leaves behind a legacy of courage, resilience, and perseverance that will live on in the family she loved so dearly.

Yukiko is survived by her daughter, Anna Ahrens (Jeff), and their children, Ashley, Alex, Sophie, and Matt; and her son, Glenn, and his children, Chris, Ben, and Nikki. She was also a proud great-grandmother to her great-grandson, Ellis.

Yukiko found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved football, enjoyed taking long walks, visiting with her friends at Meramec Bluffs, but most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family. Her warmth, kindness, love, and devotion to those closest to her will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Yukiko leaves behind a family who will carry her memory in their hearts and cherish the many years, moments, and memories they shared with her. Her strength taught them how to persevere, her love gave them a lifetime of memories, and her courage will continue to inspire them.

She fought hard, she loved deeply, and she never gave up.

May she rest in peace
