Yvonne Jacobs

Yvonne Jacobs passed away peacefully on June 14, 2023, at the age of 84.  She was born in              St. Louis, MO on June 5, 1939.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Carrie A. (nee Ligue) Lige (Thomas Spann), Anthony G. G. Ligue (Susan), Roy C. Moore, Jr., and Yvette M. Moore; step-children, Joseph Jacobs, Ann Jacobs, and Kimberly (nee Jacobs) Clements; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren (and growing); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband, Richard C. Jacobs, and step-daughter, Denise Jacobs.

Retired from Barnes Jewish Hospital, Yvonne maintained a 98% accuracy rate during her 20+ years as registrar.  She delighted in cooking large meals for anyone who showed up at any time.  Yvonne’s favorite holiday was Christmas and she made it a wonderful time for all. The gifts expanded to almost half of the living room and yet she asked for nothing in return.  Her joy came from being together with her family and seeing everyone so happy.  She and her husband, Rick, volunteered with Operation Brightside, providing gifts to families who had fallen on hard times.  They could often be found cleaning up around their neighborhood.

The family held a private Celebration of Life.
